How do you store your soap if you don't buy it with the accompanying bowl?

Here's my solution....

Ikea stainless steel spice containers with a magnet on the back.
Screwed steel bars on the inside of the door.

I literally have a bastard selection of containers which range from TOBS cream bowls I have finished to $1 Ramekin bowls picked up at my local Peddlers Mall. I tend to like a lot of variety in my cream/soap selection at all times. The only drawback would be a lack of lids. I used to insist on having the soap come in the bowl the manufacturer provided, but found it generally doubled the price. At least with my willy nilly use of various containers, I can enjoy nearly double the kinds of soaps I can have in my rotation.

These Stainless Steel bowls (with a tight fitting lid) may be the best ones I've seen.

I've also purchased several empty Yardley wooden bowls and refinished them. I also banish many soaps to the shower if I'm not thrilled with them. This has freed up quite a few wooden bowls.

The Pyrex containers also work very well.
you forgot the "C" in speick :biggrin1:

Every single thing I was going to contribute has already been mentioned. Plastic screw-top storage tubs are inexpensive and available from multiple online vendors. The aluminum screw-top tins are available at multiple brick'n'mortar retailers, but if you're going the brick'n'mortar route there's even more options! There are already a lot of options in this thread, so whatever your inclination, there's options for it.

An elegant weapon.......... for a more civilized age.

I'm a "buy the bowl with the soap" kind of guy..... at least for the first puck.... but I got a few soaps that bowls are not an option so I'm giving the 3 pack of IKEA Grundtals a shot. They should be here tomorrow sometime from an ebay vendor. This is the coolest solution I've seen IMHO.
