Home footwear?

If anyone knows where I can get stiletto slippers, I'll be able to cross one gift off of Mrs. O's bday list.

As for me, I have an old pair of hand made, no name sheepskin slippers that I'm not parting with until I die.

I usually wear some Naot clogs in the house. We have a lot of hardwood floors. I find the support of full sole to be easier on my feet and back.

I really hate wearing shoes, honestly. Must be that appalachian mountain boy upbringing....

So around the house, I am either barefoot, or in socks.

Unlike slippers, my feet are not damaged by a quick trip outside.

Thanks to all for the slipper tips, but they're not nearly high enough. :tongue_sm

Mine are. :crying:

Mine are getting more so. Not a fan of going outside barefoot in the city, so much....

When I used to WW kayak a lot, I could not wear any kind of footwear in the boat, generally, because my feet are large and would barely fit as it was. So I pretty much got used to walking on sharp pointy rocks and gravels barefoot.

I'm a huge fan of Crocs...good support and cushioning. Their comfortable at home, and don't attract dog hair. I pack them in my suitcase, for travel, unless it is a long flight and then, I'll wear them on the plane!!

Peace,
Jim

I stopped wearing socks about the house when, years ago, I nipped out to the garage where I kept my home brew barrels for a pint and stepped on a toad! My house had been built between two lakes and was on the route for the toad when they turned frisky!

It was hard getting the toad out of my socks so I reckoned barefoot was easier to wash off in future!

I do have a pair of the real Australian version of Uggs slippers these days though. Wonderful.

Did you know that Uggs Australia is an American company these days (Decker Outdoor) and they are made in China?

I've got some and think they are okay.

Good cushioning, but not great support for me.

Wonderful on long plane rides. Horrible for walking long distances in the airport.
