Hello, just joined, been wet shaving for about 7 years, but as a once or twice a week shaver, only just getting the hang of it. I also have a beard, so not really much surface to practice
.
I don't shave for 4 or 5 days (when I'm away for work), then shave once or twice during my 4 days off. Before I started wet shaving, I would not pick up a razor for weeks...
Any way, here's a photo of the razors I've collected over the last few years, more to try different styles than multiple similar style razors from different brands.
The Wilkinson Sword butterfly got it all started, I needed a shave, and whilst looking for the disposables, I saw it for sale in the supermarket. Thought I'd try it, and here we are...
I bought the Muhle to try something different, it's ok, but a bit... bland.
The YAQI is a nickel open/closed comb, which I really like, but is a bit light.
The Razorock German Slant is probably my favourite, and gives a good shave.
The Parker open comb I bought because I read that an open comb deals better with a heavy beard. It does, I like it, but not as much as the Razorock.
The other photo is my favourite line up. Razorock German Slant, with a Derby Extra blade. An Edwin Jagger Super Badger brush, and Tabac soap. I usually use Prorasso Red soap. I try out eek out the Tabac as long as I can...
