I'm glad you like Arlington.
I must honestly be the only person who did not like Arlington.

You must be, it's all good though.
Try the Marlbourough.
I didn't like that either
I prefer strongly-scented soaps and found these too lightly-scented. I did, however, think they were good quality. They lathered well.
better than tabac?
sir, I must challenge you to a duel!
I shaved with Arlington this morning. Decided it was the soap to begin breaking in my Semogue boar. I'm on the fence about the Semogue, but I'm a huge fan of Arlington. IMHO it's a rung above Tabac and head and shoulders above MWF.
Why do I feel like I have to watch my back after making that last comment?
Tabac was one of my first soaps since it is widely available here (at least the sticks, the soaps are a bit harder to find).
The lather it creates is very creamy and provides lots of cushion.
But I don't get as close shaves with Tabac as with some other soaps though. Perhaps because of that extra protective layer between the blade and skin.
Any of you guys tried Marlborough?
IF so, how is it?
I randomly received a DR Harris Arlington shave soap a few months back. And BAM! It is one of the best shave soaps on the market. On another forum, I see people worship it Tabac all the time. I could understand why it Tabac is popular, it produces pretty good lather, clean smelling, cheap. But DR Harris soap is much better performing soap. Sure the scent is great, but performance is top notch. The first time I lathered the soap, it generated a thick lather on the soap and in the brush right away. It felt like lathering a shave cream. Sometimes with soap, I notice they leave you drier and less moisturized then shave cream. But not DR Harris because did hold moisture, lather, and provide consistent shaving.
I am not sure what single active ingredient or perhaps its the combination of ingredients in the DR Harris formulation but whatever it is, the lather causes the hairs to literally stand up & be cut , damn near the root, as the blade passes along providing the closest shave one could possibly imagine. I find the skin does not feel irritated andwill feel sooo refreshed & moisturised.
DR Harris is worth every cent & then some. Try it today
Dun dun dun.
