I have to get up at 04:30 so shaving in the morning is out of the question. A relaxed 3 pass evening shave does me for the entire next day, so it's a no-brainer for me.
Ditto.... except for the "retired" and "when I worked" partI always shave at night after a shower. I don't like to go to bed dirty and shaving after a shower helps my relax. When I worked I would get up and out of the house in 15 minutes. No time to shave. Put on deodorant, brush my teeth, aftershave, get dressed and out the door. I didn't like getting up any earlier than I had to in order to get to work by 6:00am. Since I retired I still have the same night time routine. The only difference is in the morning. I don't put on aftershave unless I'm going out.
I shave at night. I get up for work at 0500 and that's usually a struggle, so I don't want to get up any earlier.
Bay Rum at night (try this and see what the lady does, you will be excited) and some ASL in the morning after the shower. There is no rule that one has to use AS after a shave...I guess I am just assuming you wouldn't apply a scented AS before bed.
