What's new

Finish it in 2010.

I'm a bit late but count me in!
I'll take the last option, though: using the same cream/soap during work days and then briefly varying the routine in the weekends. That's the only way I think will let me continue with this commitment longer than just a couple of weeks.

On the other hand, I'll always keep my *** and EdCs in a chaotic rotation. I would never be able to use one of them exclusively for more than a few days!

I will start tomorrow with an almost empty tube of Musgo Real; that should keep me until the weekend. Afterwards I will attack my Dovo Eucalyptus tub!

In too! Have some creams, and I only use soaps (shave stick), so I will work on those. First Palmolive. Then ARKO, Godrej and Gibbs (also from Evyap - ARKO)..

The last of my German Nivea bit the dust this morning, it will be missed. :crying:

Up next will probably be about half a cup of Proraso White - either that or half a tube of RSC cream...

Glad to see you guys in here.

I had planned to finish my TGQ Cavendish Black shaving soap. There is something in it that irritates my face if I use it every day. So, I'm going to switch my soaps and use AOS Lavender soap or Pitralon AS (thanks for the idea Tim). I was PIF'ed the Pitralon and I like it, but its time to use it up and clear some room.

I'm getting a bit tired of the Clear Skies soap, so I've switched to my Boreal 976. That should scrub it away about 50% faster than a badger. :biggrin1:

Didn't you have a custom boar made that looked like it could stand up to cleaning grout? :D

I did. It was a failed experiment and has since been "restored." That handle now has a 24mm Grade A Silvertip Badger knot from TGN. It's pretty nice. Actually, it's really nice. Set at about 50mm loft.

Gents, I'm in too.

I will end by 2010 the following:
-Valobra Stick(used 3 times)
-Barbon Cream(used 2 times)

Although I don't want it to finish, but most likely I will finish my Speick AS Lotion. Damn'.

Thats too bad that it was a failed experiment. Did you restore it or have it restored?

Now, come on. You know I'm with ya.

I am currently working through a tin of Pre de Provence shave soap.

Bob, you're the inspiration for this thread.

I thought about trying to kill a puck of Pre de Provence for about a minute. I think you may be using that soap come December. You'll notice that I gave myself some loop holes in the opening post of this thread. I'm weak I tell ya, weak :001_tt2:

I have several thing that I need to work through:

- Nearly empty tube of Bigelow SC (probably about 3-4 shaves remaining)

- 2/3 empty tube of Speick SC

- Remnants of a puck of Tabac (I started to see the bottom of the jar this morning)

- 3/4 empty tube of C&E SAO SC

Well, I finished the Tabac and the Bigelow SC. I also bought and finished a puck of VDH SS (bought the puck/bowl combo in a moment of weakness).

I think the SAO SC will be next, with the Speick SC after that.

Thats a good looking brush!

That Arko looks like its been getting used.

Thanks. I've not used the Arko as much as I'd like, but I'm trying to get through some other things.

I'm thinking about putting my Cella up for trade on the BST, though. I like it, but I really want to get down to 1 or 2 soaps and 1 or 2 creams.

I'm in, albeit with a slightly different objective. I want to reduce my rotation from 6 lathering products down to 3, at most 4 by the end of 2010. The lineup is as follows:

The "fab four": Lavanda, Top Secret, Veleiro, O Melhor
1 tube of Palmolive Sensitive
1 BEA soap stick

I tend to use the same product for a few weeks before switching, so it's not so easy to go through all of them (I think I haven't used O Melhor this year, the last time I used the soap was about 1 month ago). Besides, the good stuff is meant to be used .

The loopholes are a good thing to keep you on the right track. Over the weekend I did a Floris JF shave for a function I had to attend so the PdP got a rest. I did Floris JF shave soap, aftershave and cologne.

I was also trying to stick with the 1805 aftershave and 1805 cologne but I find myself unable to stay with it.

But right now PdP, PdP, PdP is my mantra. The soap is starting to become somewhat concave.

Wow, one or two soaps and the same for creams. I don't know if I could do it. I have so many soaps that it would take me a long time to get through them all, let alone get down to one or two. The creams are a different story. I only have one full sized cream, Proraso, the rest of my creams are sample sizes. With the exception of Castle Forbes creams don't really float my boat. Good luck with your goal.

Concave already  for sure. Thats pretty fast wear maybe you will use the PdP up before the end of the year.

Oh man...oh, ok. I have a half stick of Arko that needs to be dealt with. I am almost done with my tube of Bigelow. I really want to focus on Tabac because I don't think it's changed shape since I bought it. There are those 5 Mama Bear tubs of soap. Geez I still have some Edwin Jagger sample shave cream and....I CAN'T DO IT!

I CAN'T LIVE LIKE THIS! WHAT HAVE YOU ANIMALS DONE TO THE AD ENCOURAGING MEMBERS OF B&B?!?! OH THE HORROR!

Seriously though. I need to do this. I have not finished one product yet-not one. I may have to try with a Mama Bear soap first, save the Bigelow for when it gets warmer.
