Finding Shaving Gear (US)

Welcome to B&B. You've definitely stepped into the right place for information, opinions and the opportunity to sign on to be part of a PIF. This opens the possibility to try something you might not have considered: no guarantees there of course.

A very solid soap company that offers the ability to score samples is Stirling. I use one of their unscented soap and it works quite well. Stirling has pretty comprehensive descriptions of how their soaps smell. One nice thing about sample sized soaps is these are relatively inexpensive, you get to try small before you commit and unless you absolutely hate it, you can keep it in your rotation and use it up quickly enough.

As mentioned, blade sample packs are a very smart approach to finding blades you enjoy. Blade/razor pairing also makes having a sample of blades in the den a smart thing. As many here have experienced, a so-so blade in one razor may change to a be a good blade in a different razor because of the geometry of the razor.

Welcome again. Glad you're here.
