Favourite Multi Tool.and any times when it really came in handy ?

Liked the idea but never really had one I liked. Have a gerber someplace screwdriver too short and wants to fold up when I use it. Had a buck but I left it out in the garage only to find out it rusted.

I've been using the SOG PowerAssist for 10 years now, I'm on my second one. The MOST useful it's ever been was while deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. I'm a communications sergeant in the US Army, and this thing was ALWAYS on my hip. Specifically, I could cut wires easily while repairing radios in a hurry in active combat situations on patrols.



Specifically, I remember a time when our MRAP vehicle hit an inprovised explosive device and shattered our radio antenna. I was able to use my SOG to fashion a cable-style tuned antenna in a hurry to radio to the platoon leader that we were ok and had no injuries.
