Favorite TOBS scent

I just received a sample of the coconut and I must say it was excellent. It is the only one of their creams I have tried so I have no real frame of reference, but that one scent makes me want to try many more TOBS creams...

I actually popped over to the UK on the weekend and visited their store in London (which was absolutely jam-packed incidentally!) so that i could have a sniff of the whole range. I left with a couple of pucks of their Jermyn Street Collection soap - and a bottle of the same aftershave which was on sale for just £5! I absolutely love the scent.

I'd have to say their Shaving Shop soap would be a close second in my book.

Mr. Taylor's, Coconut and Avocado for me. I have the aftershave and cologne in Mr. Taylor's and Sandalwood scents. I prefer the Mr. Taylor's scent, but the Sandalwood lasts much longer, and SWMBO likes them both.

No.1 Avocado
No.2 Rose
No.3 Jermyn Street

By smell alone, I'd choose Jermyn Street.
But Avocado does seem to lather up a little easier, and lubricates my face better. Rose comes 2nd IMHO. When I shave, lubrication is more important than scent.
YMMV, now that I've found the the best blade angle for my skin, I still use my Avocado most regularly, because it lubricates my face the best, and gave me the most painless shave I could imagine.
I'm trying to find a TOBS with Menthol, if anyone know any, I want them. Somehow, I think the Menthol does make my face feel cooler, and in Malaysia, weather is hot, the cooling effect is great. I used to use them Menthol shaving creams off them aerosol, I quit about a month ago, and ordered a bunch of TOBS. Also Methol does numb the skin a bit, making cuts/nicks not so painful, at least that's what I think?

I only have three. I have Sandalwood, Lavender and Lemon & Lime. The sandalwood I like well enough that I bought some of the AS. The lavender is ok but not something I would buy again. The Lemon & Lime is very faint and not what I expected. As for lather and shave quality they are all top notch.

I love the sandalwood, with all the +1's on the Jermyn Street scent that must be my next pick up from TOBS

I am not aware of any TOBS creams that have menthol as an ingredient. Menthol crystals are very inexpensive. They dissolve readily in oil. Then you can add the mentholated oil to you bowl. If you add a tablespoon of crystals to an ounce or two of oil, you only need a few drops to mentholate your lather. I buy soaps and creams that are not mentholated for use in the winter and mentholate them in the summer. Works great.
