Favorite razor for upper lip

Today, I used a Schick Type G injector with a Schick Stainless blade. I got a comfortable and close shave, including the upper lip. It definitely did a better job there than the Tech did. This combination works! Now I need to get more injector blades.

Hate to admit this but I use a cartridege razor to get the hairs immediately under my nose. That's the first area I hit when I start to shave. Then I put down the cartridge and turn to my DE for the rest.

For a razor that also works well on the rest of my face, a Schick Krona with a 7 o'clock yellow works on the upper lip. That combo is not my favorite for the rest of my face, however, so I make do with other blades in a Gillette adjustable, Slim or Super. Making the final pass ATG works as it did with a Mach 3.

I keep a Schick ST2 disposable in my gym bag for use at the health club, not so much for the face as the back of my neck. The ST2 has such a slim head, I find it can reach into the nostrils and do a good job on the hairs there too.

The Type G is a nice razor. The Schick blades that I have last a long time so you probably won't need that many especially if you have other razors in your rotation.

Too late, drocu! I have a couple of hundred blades for my DE razors; it just didn't feel right to only have a few injector blades left. So I ordered four packs from Amazon, for about $21 total with free shipping. That should last me quite a while!

I use one there, too, but only AFTER two passes if there is still stubble right up under the nose. I use a Bump Fighter handle with Wilky two-blade cartridges.

Today I had the best results on my upper lip. Very close and comfortable. The razor? It was a Sensor Excel cartridge razor. Damn, just when I thought I was done with cartridges. At least, the Sensor carts cost much less than the ones for the Fusion (That was what drove me to DE and SE shaving.). I have to confess that I used the Sensor for my whole face. I was curious, since I hadn't used a cart for the last nine months, and I never had used one with cream and a brush, instead of shaving gel. The shave I got was very smooth and close, even on my jawline, which gives me trouble with DE razors. It was a lot like a Schick G injector shave. No drama, no nicks, just a smooth, comfortable, close shave.
