JM Fraser's has outstanding moisturizing properties as well.

I'll second this shaving cream. It's hard to beat, especially when you consider its price point.

Before getting tubs of creams, I would try to get samplers or travel sizes. Trumpets and T&H have great sample kits you can get and try a variety. A few of the vendors here do TOBS and other samples.

Any Portuguese shaving cream will do the trick, because they contain generous amount of lanolin. As others already said: Musgo Real, Veleiro, O Melhor or Top Secret. With any of these he can't go wrong.
Another option would be the Institut Karité shaving soap with 25% of shea butter.
