It has been close to 6 months since I picked up the the No. 2 Shave Kit from Col. Littleton and it has gotten plenty of use over that time period. It has plenty of room to take all of my toiletry needs and more.
And it should hold plenty because, as I mentioned at the start of this thread, it’s a sizeable, military-style, roll-up, wet pack at 19” (H) x 12 ½” (W).
And while I really like the look and feel of this leather wet pack, along with the ability to hang it on the back of a door when not in use when traveling is a nice convenience, but when compared to my previous Dopp kit, it’s big.
And for a quick weekend getaway, it takes up a lot of room in my Weekender bag from Satchel & Page.

I recently received “another” $40 “Thank You” discount from S&P. I coupled that with some Capital One Rewards Cash and guess what?
The S&P Shave Kit is enroute.
Now this Shave Kit comes in at 12.5” x 6.5” x 5.5” and is in the style of a Gladstone bag. (Like a mini doctor’s bag when they made house calls. House Calls? What’s that?
Now this smaller Shave Kit is better-suited for throwing just a few items into it for a quick 1 or 2-day tripper. (Sunday driver, yeah.)
This Shave Kit will not replace the Col. Littleton Shave Kit No. 2. I do enjoy the ritual of filling the compartments and rolling it up and using the straps to secure it.
And it is just a beautifully-crafted, stylish, heirloom-quality leather accessory that I hope to continue to use for quite a long time.
Similarly, the S&P Shave Kit provides a nice alternative when my travel plans only require a few items thrown into it for a quick, mad-dash getaway with the missus.
And this Gladstone-styled kit is stylish in its own right and will only get better over time and with use.
When I get it, you’ll see it.
