Blade shaved ok it was very smooth but again not as sharp as I would prefer.
It was a fine shave just nothing special and I will certainly need to shave tomorrow. These blades just haven’t worked for me. Some of that was using an English tech. I will try it with an open comb on Friday and see if that’s the magic cocktail.

Vikings at the Gate: Week 5, blade 5, Vikings Sword Super Stainless.

Another pretty good shave this morning. I finished up with a weeper on my left cheek which was interesting as I didn’t feel the blade cut my skin. Otherwise I had a good shave with hardly any sting when I used my Alum Block. I do like these Israeli Vikings Swords Super Stainless blades.

I've been off B&B for the last week or so. I've been on a new job hunt and it's been difficult to sit down and read all the posts.

I did have a few more Vikings Sword shaves in the Tech. I think it's a blade of great longevity, but the Tech/VS is not a great combo for me. The shaves are just not close enough. I have to get really aggressive to get close. The blade was better in the Milord.

Moving on now to a different razor, haven't decided yet. The VS is much more better than the Crystal for me.

Vikings at the Gate: Week 5, blade 5, Vikings Sword Super Stainless.

Interesting shave this morning. I had two weepers. One on my first pass which I knew straight away as I felt the nick on my neck and the second weeper was a ghost weeper. I didn’t feel a thing but when I finished my third pass a had a weeper on my left cheek. It’s the same spot all the time so I must be getting it with the corner of the blade. Anyway I was still relatively happy with the outcome.

Pre: Shower, Warm water rinse
Blade: Personna Blue Label
Razor: Maggard V3A
Brush: Zenith Manchurian Badger
Soap: Elysian Cherie Tobacco
Post: Lukewarm rinse, Humphrey's Toner WH, Nivea PSB

Back to the Personna Blue Label for Round 3 (shave #9) with a different razor and soap.
It worked pretty well with the more aggressive razor.

Today's shave was a DFS+ with no weepers, nicks, or post-shave irritation.

Vikings At The Gate - Crystal Super Platinum(2) - Shave(3)

Pre:
Shower, Warm water rinse, PAA The Cube 2.0
Razor: Gillette NDC Ball End Tech
Blade: Crystal Super Platinum#2(3)
Brush: Mondial Boar
Soap: Antica Barberia Mondial Talc
Post: Lukewarm rinse, Thayers
Splash: Antica Barberia Mondial Talc

Something is slightly different with this Crystal because the shaves haven't been quite as good as the first blade. The overall shave went just fine today and I was in DFS+ range, despite one ghost nick that I didn't feel (somewhat mirroring @ajkel64's experience from a few days before). But my post-shave was not as strong today as past Crystal shaves and I could definitely feel the "rawness" creep in. Ah well, nobody's perfect.

Vikings at the Gate: Week 5, blade 5, Vikings Super Stainless.

I had a really good shave this morning. No blood today, no weepers which was fantastic and I did have a little bit of sting when I applied my Alum Block. I still like these blades and I am very happy to have had the chance to try them out.
