Cella Soaps. Where to start?

The Extra Extra Bio (green tub) Cella has more of a mild cologne fragrance. The Original (red tub) has the standard Italian almond fragrance which some people have a skin reaction with. It is fairly strongly scented. Also, the Red has been known to turn if stored for a long time unless refrigerated. I think the green performs extremely well, unless you want a tallow base soap I would start with the green.

Both types of Cella will lose scent if you leave them open to the air for a few weeks.

Tradition has it with the little red tub of Cella, that's what most folks get first I'd imagine. I know I did.
What would @Marco say? Almond/marzipan scent, hard to go wrong for only about ten bucks.

I think @Marco switched to using soaps without tallow...he would probably say try the TFS Red Bowl.

For me I started with the original almond version in the tub. But to be fair the almond version was the only one that was available when I first tried it. Though there was the 150ml tub, the kilo brick and a cream in a tube

Where did you purchase the TFS brick? I haven’t seen it in stock anywhere.
I got it from Pasteur Phamacy for $11.99 + shipping which was about 7 or 8 bucks.
They still had five but when I looked again ... all gone. Poof!
You can be notified when they restock.

I recently picked up 2 tubs of TFS from Italian Barber, and it's amazing stuff. Dirt cheap too. 100% prefer it over Cella Red.

Sir, if you are looking for a high quality Almond scented tallow-based soap that has been on the market for over a century Cella Extra Extra Purissima is for you. It's the original formula since 1899.

If you desire a tallow-free Almond scented soap with even better, more delicious, sweet fragrance (actually Italian Amaretto) and truly outstanding performance look no further than Tcheon Fung Sing Crema Purissima Per Barba. This formula was introduced in 1945 and its greatness is such that it is nowadays the base formula used on many TFS manufactured soaps, including those made for other companies. This is now my undisputed n°1 Almond soap.

When choosing between these two it’s almost like trying to choose between Ferrari and Lamborghini. But whichever one is chosen an excellent choice has been made

Maggard Razors has samples of all the Cella varieties. Inexpensive way to find what you like before committing to a full-sized jar
This of offering samples of each Cella soap is a nice novelty, I did not know about.
It would be nice if some stores here in Italy would also do this.

The only way to really know which one you prefer is to test them both and, only after that, decide according to your own tastes.
