I live in a very hard water area, but have no problems with lather. No difference as when I visit soft water areas.
I wonder if there was something added by the hotel to their water system.

I shave with MdC Fougere soap every day, and then I stopped by the hotel with very hard water. The toilet soap is washed off there instantly, slides off in flakes. I couldn't make a foam with that water. And the razor didn't slide across my face. The next day, I brought a bottle of water from the supermarket - a wonderful result. So, it occurred to me: some people have been living in places with hard water since birth and they don't get along with shaving, and they don't even understand why.View attachment 2024103

Interesting you should mention this. I'm researching at the moment to write a brief post about this very issue with hard water.
