What's new

Bring on The Shavepocolypse!

After almost a year of gathering I have THIS

by my calculations it should be enough to keep my Old Type fed until sometime around 2035.
Now I am seriously considering buying more!

What are the red, orange, and green?

Also, where did you get the carton of super thins?

Keep up the good work fellow shavers. With these types of sales, I seriously doubt that the manufacturers will stop production. I wish I could boast of the same in storage.....but maybe one day!:w00t:

Cheers!

Wow, I don't know what's worse? The thought of being shot at with actual bullets or seeing what kind of monstrous device where you you could insert whole blade cases and out would come high speed spinning razor blades :shuriken::scared:.
Pehaps if you could move matrix style you could find a very interesting shave technique :shuriken:----

Think I need to increase my blade stock now after reading this, no use in having all these nice razors to shave with if they stop making blades, what a tragedy that would be. Just found a box of 2000 nice blades for $300 delivered, I calculate that should almost last me forever..

I only have about 540 DE blades and 25 SE blades plus about 40 Injector blades. I see that I need to get on the ball and start stocking up.

I also have 40 Atra blades from ASR, 8 M3 blades and 2 Sensor blades.
I'd give away the M3 and blades before I give away the Atra blades, and I'd give away the Atra blades before I'd give away the DE blades.

Dear Sandmountainslim,

I wanted to write to you today to thank you for all of the business we've done over the last year. We wish that there were more customers like you. That said we are sad that we will lose you as customer. I hope that you enjoy our product and think of us again when your stock runs out sometime in 2035. I will be retired by then but will leave word for my successor.

Sincerely,

CEO, Razor Blade Company

I think I'm at about 2000, including the 500 Med Personnas that arrived yesterday. Those Meds alone should last me just under 10 years.

I have about 200 each of Iridium, Astra, Feather, Wilkies (German, I think), Blue Bird, IP's and Timor. Plus 100 from my first Med order.

Actually, I think I have around 400 IP's -- it's been my go-to blade pretty much for the last four years.

I have about 1100, and am committed to not growing the collection much beyond that. I like some of the brands better than others....

Part of the reason why I have so many is because of the way blades are sold. By far the greatest value is in buying in bulk. And, though it`s true that blades may or may not be the best investment, they are still money in the bank if properly stored. If the blades are popular and bought at a low price, they can be resold with little if any loss.

That's two cartons....

proxy.php

Each one with 20x boxes with 10 packs of 10 blade dispensers in each. Grand total is 4,000 units of the NOS GBE's.

I can shave with them exclusively until I am 140 years old. I turn 32 in April

What Shavepocalypse?

I'm falling behind as I've only got blades to last through Dec 21, 2012 which also happens to be the date of the shavepoclypse.

 The guy plannin to shave with Bleue Extra until he is 140 makes me jealous...I will run out of blades at age 80! I need more! Where's that link to Derby??
Wp
Screw Derby, look for the 'Gillette platinum' on eBay, seller from Malta. 5,000 blades for about $380.

Last I checked I could get them delivered at under 7.5 Aussie cents per blade. The GBE's were 15.1 Aussie cents delivered by comparison. Trust me, the GBE's are great but they are not twice the blade that the Platinums are. :thumbup1:

Oh, and if I add the 600 Iridiums I have picked up recently, that extends me another 16 years, so I will be 156 years of age before shavepocalypse gets me with the GBE's and SI's alone.

I won't mention the 200 Feathers, 300 Sharks, 200 Rapira, 200 Supermax, and other associated 100 packs of a heap of other blades. Really should do an inventory.
