Blade Wars: Crystal vs. Personna Med Prep

black=right, silver=left
I did a three-pass evening shave. Both razors did beautifully during the first two passes. They were smooth and effective. There was a noticeable difference on the third pass. While the black was smooth, the silver had some dragging and pulling.
Followed with some Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel. I felt some irritation and hoped it would cool it. Finished with Lubriderm 3-in-1 moisturizer.
Advantage: black

A did a two-pass shave this morning with a day and a half's growth. The first pass was similar. Both blades had to work a little to get through my beard. They had a similar amount of resistance. There was some separation between the blades on the second pass. Silver was a little scratchy and had some drag. Black was smoother, but not by much.
It seems these blades are nearing the end.
Slight Advantage: Black
Followed with homemade lemon/orange AS and Olay moisturizer.

Pass 1 - Black had some resistance, but worked it's way through pretty well. Silver had more resistance than black - it was right on the threshold of hurting.
Pass 2 - Both razors did a fine job. Smooth and effective.
Followed with Arko Classic cream.

Crystal has to be the silver. Tried one the other day and it felt mostly smooth, until I shaved ATG on my upper lip.

Yes it is, much better than I would have ever expected given my experience with Crystal.

I did a three-pass shave in the hope that I could bring this blade war to an end today. Nothing doing.
Both razors gave me clean, smooth, comfortable passes each time.
Finished with homemade eucalyptus/menthol after shave.
This shave is a tie.

I did a two-pass evening shave. On the first pass, back was pretty good. Slightly resistant, serviceable pass. Silver had unpleasant pull and drag. If I were anything less than a B&B blade forum regular, (otherwise known as the salt of the Earth), I would have abandoned ship halfway through the pass. I'm glad I didn't. Both second passes were pretty good.
I followed up with Aqua Velva and some Olay moisturizer.
The advantage for this shave and the entire blade war goes to black.
