My 2 Biltmores are about 6 years old,I liked the colors,the style,the real leather sweatband,and the fact they were not made in China.I can only recommend these hats for cool to slightly warm weather.The material used is "polyhemp",in other words,spun polyester.It is hard and unflexible.It feels like you are wearing a big piece of stiff,heavy plastic on your head.It does not breathe like a good Panama,or even a cheap Panama,but Panamas don't come in wild color schemes .Do not try to wear these synthetic hats in hot ,humid climate !
