Of course, someone had to mention another Bay Rum that I haven't tried... I just ordered some Flying Bird Botanicals because of this thread.
A few days ago, I ordered Hold Fast Bay Rum splash based on a recommendation in another thread.
...and also ordered my favorite Bay Rum of all time: Burt's Bees Bay Rum Balm.
It's been out of manufacture for 2-3 years... but, someone is selling a few bottles on Amazon.com for about $39.00.
It's NOS but, I just ordered a bottle. If you want to try some of the best Bay Rum Balm ever made, you know what to do!
I now have 3 bottles of Bay Rum on the way!!!! It's time to party like it was 1999!!!!

my favorite also, they state that they don't use cloves but it has a clove smell to me. The smell is intoxicating for me and its a great finish. Pure grain alcohol and witchhazel, great aftershave for 17 bucks

Ajax, one question: WHY?! (BTW, did I read the website correctly--is the larger bottle LESS expensive than the smaller size?!)
Why wait to buy some Bello Bay Rum? I guess I need something to look forward to down the road... you know, something to inspire hope and to give me a reason to get out of the bed in the morning?

Yes indeed, the 8oz bottle is, in fact, listed as $2.96 while the 4oz bottle is $4.31. Their webmaster needs a cup of coffee!

I have test driven a few bay rums in the past few days. Master which I did not care for, Lustray which was okay, then I tried Gabels Bay Rum and ended up liking it a lot and buying it. I can't attest to it's longevity as I just purchased it this afternoon, but it sure smelled nice!

Haha! Well, I paid about $6 for 16 ounces, and to be honest the nice scent doesn't last too terribly long, but it beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! I had a good conversation with the Sales Rep at the store, and I also liked the Lustray Lilac and wanted a 16 ounce bottle, but they only had the gallon size. I think the guy was a bit confused as to my intention and asked me, "You're not gonna buy the gallon, are you?!". I told him I would gladly wait a week until they were restocked with the 16 ounce bottles. Then again, hmmm, what could I do with a gallon of lilac aftershave......bath, laundry, potpourri?! NAW!! I'll wait for the smaller size! ;~)
