What's new

Arko soap, now in bowl

Exp date 01/2020 or 12M after the opening!
And you have already opened it! How unfortunate... :glare:
Well, someone will help you finishing this tub!

Doh! Missed the 12M logo! :biggrin1:

The manufacturing date is 01/2013 btw, so this has been in production all of this year (at least).

bestshave.net has them for under 5 usd. I wasnt a fan of the stick. I dont like the smell, and it dried my skin. But I have to try the bowl what the hells wrong with me?!

Thanks for the site, there was no way I was paying more than 5 bucks for anything Arko! However, I am addicted to the scent!

i wish i had known this existed before i just bought two sticks. I've pushed one into a small plastic tub but id love an actual arko tub.

does the bowl have fins or anything to prevent the soap from spinning when loading the brush? I hate when that happens.

http://shop.bestshave.net/shaving-cream-and-stick-c-4.html?page=5&sort=20a Look at the bottom of the page. The stick sells for $1.95 and is 75 grams. The tub sells for $4.40 and is 90 grams. In other words, the stick is 5/6 the volume of the tub and costs less than half as much.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARKO-SHAVIN...668?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a2a9c736c The description with this listing suggests that this formula is more creamy, so if this is correct that accounts for the slight difference in ingredients.

If the tub version is more creamy, it probably won't last as long but may be easier to lather.

The plastic bowl is smooth without ridges. I've not used it and cannot tell if it will rotate or not in use. Currently I use a stick pressed into a wooden bowl (and save the bowl for the 2020s or untill I run out of soap :)

I bought 6 for no reason other than its Arko and I didn't have this one in my collection (AS)
Not interested in price, packaging, weight, density or rotating puck, c'mon Gents this thread has been hijacked by Gentiles.

Hail King Arko !

I just got mine in the mail. It took just over 2 weeks to get here. I opened it up, ready for that strong scent of lemon. Sadly (for me), it was already the mellowed out generic soap scent. I'm glad I got an official Arko tub, but from this point on I'll likely just buy sticks and press them in.
