Are there fake or counterfeit Feather razor blades out there?

If you read the Amazon Feather comments, there is evidence that fakes are being sold.

It's usually on 100 pack orders.

All my evidence is empirical but I have a further suspicion that the top 2-3 packs in the stack box are authentic. That was my experience with three boxes so far. If that is so; it is a brilliant deception as by the time you get to the rubbish blades you have no real recourse.

I have some that I think are fake, or perhaps 'seconds' of some sort, and interestingly; I dumped out a half dozen packs, on a whim, and tried again. And the deeper-down blades (actually just "blade" so far <g>) seems to be perfectly fine.

What do you want the pictures of exactly? The blades? The wrappers? The blades packs? The stack-packaging? What 'indicators' would we be looking for?

If anyone has a pic of a genuine blade and a suspected counterfeit blade for comparison that would probably help.

Not really sure, just wondering what indicators suggest that they are fake. Different font used for the ink? Packaging?

I've never encountered them. That being said, almost anything sold in the world today can be knocked off. I only buy blades from reputable vendors. Can you get a pack of blades that could have been old stock and kept in poor conditions? Yes. But rare. Giveaways to counterfeits are poor quality printing and packaging, blade looks different in terms of thickness and quality to name a few. Just like the poorly made counterfeit dollar bill. Geo has crossed eyes and the points on the star were blunted. That kind of stuff. Compare and contrast a genuine to yours. I don't doubt the Chinese are knockoff Kings but to invest in making knock offs of such a low priced commodity makes little sense even to them. Knocking off a Gucci bag or a Polo shirt makes more sense on an economies of scale sense. Now a days the Chinese can knock off a Rolex down to the sweep movement of the second hand. Not on a 2 cent blade with a limited market. Just my nickel on this. Not even the krazy N. Korean would not waste time doing it. Bags are easy to make. Sweatshop labor. Blades require a costly outlay on machines to make.

If I bought blades that I thought were fake, i'd certainly be closely examining the packaging and blades and comparing to the real deal! Maybe post some high res photos of the two?
