Looks like you did an excellent job of polishing. There are many slims for sale, and if you keep an eye out, you'll find a nearly new condition one for less than the cost of re-plating, and you'll then have you for display, and one as a daily shaver. Besides, you cant have too many classic razors!
It looks lovely after all this work by you. Enjoy it for another lifetime.
Maybe you already know this, but don't forget the last quarter turn on the TTO knob - that will secure the blade firmly in the place. Also, loosen the TTO knob before changing the adjustment settings.
