Keep hear term, Plasant. Is this a Brush Handle Style, or Knot Type?

Never heard of it, but I am not an expert and I did not sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Plissoft is a type of synthetic knot.
Plisson is a French Shaving company
I really like this style of synthetic.
FWIW @DesertIguana - PAA uses this style fiber for most of their knots. RazoRock uses them as well.

same here....maybe he meant Pleasant......but I do not see there any reference to brushes, knots or such

Maybe you mean Plisson, an old established French company making shaving brushes?
To pronounce correctly, use a nasal tone of voice and say "Plee-so(n)"
Plisson came out with a good synthetic brush knot, but it was expensive. Italian Barber basically cloned the knot, put it in nicer handles, and sold it for very low prices. This was what they called the "plissoft" knot.

Word I heard wss on U-Tube sounded like Pla-son, but my hearing is shot.
They probably aren't French speakers! They will say something like "plis-on" or "pluhs-on".
My boar brushes are pleasant.
