So are the donation threads hidden for now and go live at a later date?

Is bidding in the threads?

How do the donation threads interact with the auction site?

What does the auction site do?

Is the auction site only for bidding and purchase, and then the donation threads are for posting donations?
The donations(lots) are hidden from public view, in the Annual Fundraiser forum, until the start of the auction. Everyone will be able to see the lots/forum, starting March 14, 2025 at 0600 Pacific Standard Time.

To bid, you will post in the thread. The starting bid can be any amount. Subsequent bids are a minimum $5 incremental bid. If the first bid was $3.75, then the second bid would need to be at least $8.75, and so on.

There is no auction site. All the bidding is done in the individual lot threads. We have partnered with FightCRC.org. All funds raised will support their charity. If you win one or more of the lots, you'll need to visit Fight Colorectal Cancer - https://secure.qgiv.com/event/fightcrcfundraising/team/974559/ to pay for your item. You can create an account or pay anonymously. You will need to save the digital receipts of your donation in order to secure your winnings lot.

The donation page automatically populates a thread in the Annual Fundraiser forum.

We will have a visible sticky thread regarding the payment process, once the Auction starts.

You mean show up in New Posts?

or on the forums page where all the sub fora are displayed?
I will share with you a screenshot. I'm on an Android cell phone. The three lines on the top left. Then forums. The top one is the old Saint Sue. The last two or three years, since I started on the site, there would be the current years charity posts, discussion and donations page under here. It has 2023 Saint Sue.

Can one large receipt cover multiple wins, or do we need to make numerous separate donations to FightCRC.org, one for each win?


Either way.

If you pay once, for the total of all your lots, you'll need to provide a copy of the donation receipt to each Member who provided the Lots. The Auction Team will also need a copy of the receipt and a list of the Lots that you won.

The Auction Team will not need a copy of the receipt if you only won a single Lot. The Member who donated the Lot will still need a copy, though.
