Amazing Brush Scuttle

Hey come on now. Houston has some things going for it.

I'll think of one soon.

(Ducks to avoid members from Houston.)

its 10F here and with the wind chill feels like 0F. Snow on the ground.
The Becker scuttle is great and pairs well with the sauna.

only 5 more months of this left

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I think Canada only has 2 seasons, 9 months of Winter and 3 months of bad skiing:laugh:

I was in seattle for a year (ship in the yards), lived in west seattle not far from alkai beach. They had t shirts that said "I spent the summer at alkai beach and enjoyed all 3 days".

It was mainly a joke about houston,:) My mail forwarding service is there.

I consider myself to be blessed. I ordered a scuttle from Robert 8 days ago. He told me it would be approximately 3 weeks. I just visited his website and to my surprise he is no longer taking any orders for 2013. He also stated that he may or may not take any orders in 2014 because he has been working 7 days a week to fill orders. He indicated that he wanted to start enjoying retirement. Check out his site. That's why I feel blessed that I will be able to obtain one of his very nice scuttles. I wish I had it now since we've had a nasty cold front come through. It's 20 degrees and a real feel (with wind chill) of 12 degrees, Brrr! I'm not ready for winter, ugh.

This last week has been pretty cold here in CT for November. I'm glad of two things, first I'm glad that I'm skipping Deer hunting season this year and second I'm glad I just got my Dirty Bird brush scuttle. It works way better than my old gravy scuttle and I'm loving the warm lather on a cold night!

Hey man.... Having to put on a jacket is brutal. It goes below 60/15C, and we break out the firewood. BUUUUUUURRRRRRR!

Well, I spent 35 minutes this morning digging out the car, another 25 minutes getting the ice off it, 15 minutes to let it run and warm, all of this whilst it was -33C with a windchill. All I wanted to do was go to the hardware store.

All I can say is either your wife works at the hardware store, or you're a better man than I. One of the two. I cannot think of any product at any local hardware store that could get me to do this.

Yeah..... I spent four years on the north slope of the Tug Hill Plateau in NY, and spent a January in Petewawa snowshoeing around an akio with all our living rooms and Lanais.

Never again, no sir. The worse part of keeping up with 2-3' a day of lake effect snow was the plows would wait till we were done with our driveways, then throw a 2' ice berm at the end of our driveways.

I find it humorous that if anyone ever actually looks on Amazon for a warming pitcher or a dip/gravy warmer most of the items listed under "Customers also bought..." are shaving related. If you were not part of our little subculture it could really confuse you :)

Is 18 degrees in the morning with a wind chill around 0 cold enough for you? Also forecasted 3-6"of snow tomorrow too.
Hey, it happens. I remember being at Ft. Bliss, El Paso ,which is much farther south and west of you, as you know, and we
got 4 inches of snow one day! I did not drive that day due to the people , who never saw snow, let alone drive in it.

It was -26C (-15F for those south of the boarder) this morning on my way to work. Still better then near freezing and damp I believe.

I did have lovely warm lather from my scuttle :) have to say its nice on these cold days.
