What's new

Age?

I'm 49. I knew we had younger members, but I'm surprised at how many there are. How things change.....when I was in the 18-29 range, caring about shaving would have been unthinkable. Of course, Algore probably hadn't gotten around to inventing the internet yet! ;)

Everything old is new again. Younger folk are looking around at the commodified world of fast (food, news, life) and seeing how cheaply made it all is; how it's all lost that personal touch.

You get more emotion out of a fountain pen than a ballpoint; more feel of your surroundings in a bicycle than a car, and a better shave from a good English cream and DE (or straight) razor than a can of gel and a Mach 27.

Oh, and I'm 27. Or 30, depending on who you trust.

I'm 18. I don't have a birthday razor

Sure you do!

Sorry.

30 here. I have my older sister's birthday razor (that sounds strange...she never touched it...it's a 1970 Adjustable).

That's a Sensor Excel - released in 1995. I think you're thinking of 1990's Sensor (assuming he's turning 19 before the end of the year)

Depends on who you ask. My wife would say 12. My drivers license indicates 53. I quit counting some time ago myself.
