Aftershave acquisition thread

Picked up this 3/4 full bottle of Avon Ironman in an OP shop in a nearby town for a whole $3.00 today. I couldn’t resist and it still smells fine but the scent seems to disappear after a short while. I only gave it one spray on my wrist so it might go a little longer with a spray or two on my chest/neck.

I ordered Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum, and Stirling vanilla Sandalwood on Black Friday.

On my way home I stopped by another antique shop, I picked up this Avon Mens Fragrance Demonstrator for a couple bucks. There was also the woman's set there as well. The scents are Wild country, Leather, Wind jammer, Tribute, Spicy, Excalibur, Island Lime, and Bravo.

Vintage Avon find

I know there are fans of Avon products here so I thought I'd share. Found this full bottle of Spicy for, as you can see, the princely sum of $1.50 at a Goodwill store. If you look closely you can see the layer of dust still visible. The screw off lid was so tight I wasn't sure it would even come...

Patience paid off and I grabbed a bottle of both F. /Extra and Antesol during Black Friday sales.

This is it. I am done (at least I think so anyway).

I’ve got a bottle of Opuntia splash coming with the matching soap but aside from that, and my ongoing search for a bottle of Ralon, I’m feeling pretty fulfilled when it comes to aftershaves.

I know, I know. Plenty before me have said the same thing but I’m pretty confident. Honestly, I’ve tried just about everything that I’ve wanted to try and there’s only a few that I haven’t been able to get my hands on in order of most to least sought after:

-Ralon
-That one made by the monks in France or Italy (can’t remember the name at the moment)
-Figaro Amber
-Vitos

If you are in the UK .. there is a discount store called Sams 99
They currently have Brut Attraction Totale and Brut Sport style for £1.25 each !!
I may go back and get more this week. loads are on the shelves .. and both smell pretty nice

Currently they sit under my tree for another 10 days ( Mainly cos I have nothing else to put there yet !!)

Greetings, all, after many years away. Over the fall I was in Frankfurt and Rome on a combination business / pleasure trip and sought out drugstore shaving brands. Frankfurt yielded Pitralon and Irisch Moos, while I stumbled across Denim Musk in Rome. (I know I could have found any number of excellent A/S in Rome, but my budget was mostly, and correctly, allocated to dining )

Pitralon is a sublime delight and I'm on the hunt for the variants I can't seem to find anywhere else. I like Irisch Moos quite a lot, but Denim Musk is reserved for those days that I don't mind projecting a scent for a thousand yards...!

Ordered myself two aftershave presents that arrived today.
An additional bottle of Barrister & Mann Leviathan splash, it smells great, but most of all I think it's the most comfortable AS splash I've put on my face.
Also, never tried it, but so many here speak highly of it. Floid original in a 400ml bottle. Looking forward to using it tomorrow.

Do I really need it right now, with two Proraso balms in rotation and trying to finish one Coach Open Road in parallel - not exactly...Then why I bought it - it was decently discounted and with free shipping, plus that looks like a real skin treat. Sad news that PAA are discontinuing Astra Planeta. I sampled probably over 70 of their scents. I only liked about six and loved two; this and harvest moon.
So I cleaned out the only online store that still had it in UK
