I got this score off the 'bay for the price of 99 cents plus $3.95 shipping. It's a fairly run of the mill travel kit from "Chip Steak Co."

Not much inside. Wait. Is that....

Yes! A ball end Tech in amazing condition!

I'm going to go shave with it now! :thumbup1:

Picked this up last night at the GB-RW Honing Event. My new RW Puriest.

Is that a sushi knife? Nice score!!

Went back to my local Flea Market on Sat. Same stand I got my 8/8" Geo West at last month, I snagged an old spice mug and a pretty fancy little Torrey Razor (busted scales) for $10. He had a bunch of other razors but they were all horribly mishoned, rusted to hell or warped. Had one with really neat brass scales, but they were so warped they were almost twisted.

The first pics are from my wife. A double sided mirror, Bigelow's version of Proraso, their AS, C&E Sienna, Marble lathering bowl and a wonderful EDT from Paris.
The second shots are from my stop along the way to my daughters house at a local flea market. A rubberset and a no name brush ( $5.oo for the pair) A porcelain bowl that can be removed from the stand which has a brush/razor holder , interesting for nominal outlay. A full pack of Star blades to go along with my growing ( not intentional) collection of Gems. No,, not the price on the package,, but another 5 bucks wasn't bad. Hey, the little strip from the blade slot is still there. Now I know NOTHING , even less than I do about Gillettes to purchase straight razors, but I just thought this Fredrick Reynolds razor in the orig case was just cool looking along with the leather box with a broken Boker razor in it. The razor is etched on the blade saying , The Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor for Barber Use. The handles,,, bone or horn? Don't know, you tell me. What is it worth? Don't have a clue. But I don't care, to me it's neat somehow and this thing is a monster as well as heavy compared to other straights I've looked at. Four bucks made me take it home and I don't care if I was ripped off.I enjoy it more than a Mickey D's burger for the same price.
And just today, before I left, I was reading the post on the pro's and con's of Fat Boys. Well, I have one in a case, near Mint (F2) , and I wanted another for use. Didn't I happen to find this one ( F1) just as I walked in.Whether you like them or you don't, and considering the prices recently on the bay,,, I don't think too many would have passed on this one for the $9.00 asking price. The clicks are solid no paint missing on the numbers,, the doors work very well and are solid, not too many flaws on it and I think it'll clean up pretty well for use in the rotation.
Seems my collection lately is growing laterally. I've been finding duplicates to my "Minty" pieces. Two slim adjustables, two Goodwills, two FBs, two Bostonians, two red tips, two SS's.. Gotta find some new pieces.

and the other photo's
And I don't know if it's a "score" or not, but I decided to make myself a brush/bowl/ razor stand using a knot from TGN. I have other designs as well as a collection of knots, exotic wood and a selection of bone, ivory , butterscotch etc. to make more brushes , stands and bowls.

I stuck my head in a charity shop in Melbourne during my lunchtime walk and found a brand new Hugo Boss black velvet / velour jacket. Perfect size and at $50 I couldn't pass it up. It'll go very nicely to help dress up a pair of jeans. Sorry about the poor camera phone picture.

Johnmrson, thank you, very kind of you to say so considering your collection and pieces I've seen.
Some of the pieces here were very good ( the FB) and most were just an odd collection of pieces I couldn't leave behind. Some rough, some neat, some so-so and some I made. Just fillers for the collection and may look neat when all assembled into a display of some sort.
It's funny, I have no problem buying whatever razor suits my fancy at the moment,, but finding these odd , kitchy pieces is fun in it's own way. The thrill of the hunt so to speak and discovering what lies just around the corner.
Again, thank you.

The W&B scales are horn. The razor is probably a $200ish razor, but that's a brutal honing job on it. It should smile, but that's a really overdone lopsided smile. Some corrective honing and you'll lose about 1/8" of depth. Still a nice razor. Maybe $75-100 once it's fixed up if it cleans up good. I'd probably fix it up and keep it. A W&B chopper for $4 is hard to beat.

I'm more intrigued by the Fred Reynolds though. How bout some pics of it?

Very nice soap dish too.

I've just picked up a few small things of eBay in the last day or two.

Tie tacs / pins. Sometimes a tie bar / clasp just doesn't look right.

Nice, whats that O/S lime set? A/S Deodorant and Cologne?

Let me know how the seaforth soap is, I've seen it a few times but never bid on one.

i just want to say again how awesome antique shops are. just scored this mug and brush for six dollars. the brush will need re-knotting, however, as it's shedding like an angora cat in Alabama.

40 years old, niiiccee. :thumbup1:

another shop played a tease, putting up a gold-plated gillette DE case, but without the razor, and the price was too high for just a case.
