9/8 W.GREAVES & SONS Masonic etched chopper

Too cool. Almost every Masonic "straight razor" I've seen on the 'bay barely qualifies as a razor. I'm not a huge fan of etching or designs on blades, but I wouldn't mind a square & compass engraved on the shank or inlaid in the scales. When I get around to making my shorty, I might just do that on the scales.

I too was watching that razor - I didn't bid on it though. I recently acquired an old W&B but it is not that big and the etching is not that clean. Glad it went to a brother. So mote it be.

i just keep looking at that old blade, she is quite stunning! just an outstanding old blade, very special.

Nice razor, I'd recommend hitting it with some 80 grit wetanddry.... Kidding!
Werent Laurel and Hardy in the masons? They went to hawaii on a trip I seem to remember

There are some references to that on the web. Hardy is buried in the Masonic Garden of Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood.
