Notes:

Blissful shave with the Hand Changer again. What a great razor this is.

Extended shave notes can be found here.

Again the blade performed accordingly and it keeps surprising me in a very positive way. Definitely in the higher regions of our little assessment.

Enjoy your shave today!

Shave#167 of 366 remaining 199(100%)

Razor:
Muhle Rocca R94
Blade: Perma Sharp (7)
Brush: Muhle Rocca R94 STF
Soap: ZM Explorer
A/S: Davidoff Cool Water
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Gel

Tonight I decided on the Rocca set with my ZM and rather than describe the shave I would like to say ooooohhh! I really have to say I could honestly use this set and soap for the rest of my days and be happy. Got a good close to BBS shave, happy days.

Friday 14th June, shave #166

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Cubebe
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Ti Handle, Astra #6
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

My first full shave with the GC105-P.

Despite being described as "aggressive", it's well-behaved as a face shaver so far. WTG/XTG under my nose got a closer result than the .84, without any drama. WTG/ATG got an equally good result on my cheeks.

I did one WTG neck pass, didn't want to push my luck, and got a visually acceptable result. Resisted the urge to tidy things up with the .76.

Comment: Good shave today (9/10) and time to change blades after 9th shave with this fine blade!! :thumbup1::thumbup1:

A rather uneventful smooth shave with the Blackbird delivering its usual closeness.

Saturday 15th June, shave #167

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Opuntia
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.76 SB, Al Handle, Astra #2
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

My first full shave with the new GC76-P baseplate.

This didn't feel underpowered compared with the .84, though I did find myself doing slightly more tidy-up.

It's good for neck shaving, I can use it ATG and easily get a close result without irritation. It beats the .68 plate, which is comfortable but not so effective.

What is your favourite GC setup so far and do you see any of your new acquisitions changing that?

The .84 SB is reigning champion. I know it's a good shave, that I can use every day.

I'm impressed with the 1.05, but I need to find out if it's a seven days a week option. The .84 open comb wasn't.

The .76 obviously will be, but is it a bit too mild?

SV Saturday

Razor:
Muhle Rocca R94
Blade: Perma Sharp (8)
Brush: Muhle Rocca R94 STF
Soap: SV 70th Anniversary
A/S: Clinique Happy For Men
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Gel

Tonight I decided to change the soap, but still use the same gear as yesterday. And got a fantastic shave again, for me it's all about the comfort and that was about as comfortable as it gets, especially with my favourite SV soap

Father’s Day shave with the second brush my dad made me as well as using my Aristocrat open comb for feeling like a king. Splendid shave.
