I won’t be posting daily, but will check in weekly or so. I’m first and foremost a minimalist, so my “kit” won’t change all that much. Perhaps a few soaps and a few razors but that’s about it. I know, boring. But I enjoy my shaves, and have for many years.

Blade: Wilkinson Sword (Germany)
Brush: Omega synthetic
Soap: VDH Glycerin in Grandpa’s Old Spice mug
Splash: Skin Bracer followed by generic witch hazel
Moisturizer: Generic aloe gel

Two passes, DFS. Always smooth, no irritation, no nicks. Life is good.

Tonight was another 3017 shave and now that there is a hole in it the TOBS is disappearing fast. The Rocca shave was comfortable and close though not quite a BBS. Cool water is really getting down to the bottom though I reckon I still have maybe a month to go.

Interesting how much you're using AC now! I have a Feather Japanese style blade holder that I might dig out this year.

I'm finding that I really prefer the AC blade razors, safety and open blade.

Palmolive day again. I had a quick but effective DFS with my favourite Game Changer.

Sunday January 5. Shave 5 of 365

Today featured my'46-'47 Aristocrat which was the first razor I bought from an individual. He was a member here when I first joined in 2014 and happened to live in STL as well. I've always loved this razor, and paired it with a Gillette Silver Blue, Stirling Iced Coffee and a custom made brush with faux horse knot. Great shave and the streak continues!
