Looks like he won with bids of $35 and $30Did @JeffJ win both Canada soaps? I presume he did, but want to make sure we are all in agreement before I come up with my total.
Thanks. I agree. Just wanted to double check my work since the second place bid was the same dollar amount as my $30 third place bid and it was the timing that actually determined the ranking.Looks like he won with bids of $35 and $30
My take is there were two $30 bids before my bid so I had nothing until I raised one to $35Thanks. I agree. Just wanted to double check my work since the second place bid was the same dollar amount as my $30 third place bid and it was the timing that actually determined the ranking.
I will take one for $30 if you don't want both, but you are entitled to both.My take is there were two $30 bids before my bid so I had nothing until I raised one to $35
Whew!
The auction's still running, but I'm already feeling inundated just thinking of the task ahead. I know everyone will be patient as donations are made, tallied, cross referenced, coordinated, discombobulated, recoordinated over a pot of coffee (in a B&B mug) and several glassed of whisky (in B&B Glencairn glassed) and goodies wrapped, boxed, and sent off to greener pastures.
For anyone that won one of the auctions, there's a lot of back and forth communicating to do before wrapping, packing, and sending off goodies. And I need to go find a box.
Looking forward to the next B&B charity auction.
My intent was to win one puck and my belief was that I had zero before my final bid. If you’re okay with one at 30 please take it. Otherwise, I’ll abide by the Mod ruling. It’s charity and not a big deal.I will take one for $30 if you don't want both, but you are entitled to both.
They were at $25 and $30, and then you bid $30, taking over the $25 one, so you had one of the two $30 bids before you bid $35, which got you the other one.

Much simpler to split into two lots next time.

Fundraiser auction items are like the proverbial fruitcake. There's really only one, but it keeps making the rounds year after year. At least half the stuff I put up this year came from previous fundraisers.Somebody thought they were going to get away with "stealing" 4 vintage Zippos. Steve (@SiBurning ), who won them from me in the '18 Auction, said "Not on my watch".
No, sorry for my making this confusing.Did @JeffJ win both Canada soaps? I presume he did, but want to make sure we are all in agreement before I come up with my total.
I agree, two lots would have been simpler. I thought that might get more confusing for those who wanted one... which listing to bid on, the potential of winning two if they only wanted one, and so forth. My intent was to win one puck and my belief was that I had zero before my final bid. If you’re okay with one at 30 please take it. Otherwise, I’ll abide by the Mod ruling. It’s charity and not a big deal.
