Nivea Moisture canned cream

Nivea moisture canned cream isn't bad. Packaging is okay but average. Price - well, let's just say it could be cheaper, but it's not going to bankrupt anyone. Quality is up there - it foams nicely, is consistent out of the can, has a tendency to really adhere to the skin, even under the hairs, which is advantageous as it moisturizes during the most razor burn-prone moments. If you're using a disposable razor in the $8 - $10 range, particularly by Gillette, you're looking at a decent shave with this cream. And if you're in a rush, you've got that nice scent to follow you out the door.

Did you use the foam or gel?

I hate foams, but some gels are nice.

And the Nivea Gel is as good as the creams/soaps

I love Nivea shaving CREAM.For me every shaving foam/gel is piece of sh*t

Picked this up as an emergency measure while my Shavemac is away being re-knotted.

The good

• Smells alright once the chemical smell dissipates.
• Left my skin feeling fairly moisturized.
• Saves time over having to make your own lather.

The bad

• Chemical smell when first dispensed.
• Feels 'dry' on the face
• You really need to push the razor through this stuff (way too thick)
• Expensive in the long run (one can only lasted me 10 days)
• No fun.
• Environmentally disastrous. (I would need 36 cans a year )

If you are comparing this to the soaps and creams that we here all use and love, then it pales in almost every aspect. If, however, you are comparing this to all the other canned foams out there it isn't too bad. I just want my brush back.
