Where are the Carolinians on B&B?

I'm in the Greenville area myself, and I know I've seen one or two folks pop up who hail from Greer and Spartanburg. Do I have any other B&B neighbors? Always curious to see how many of us from around home have found this place.

I'm originally from Statesville, NC. My wife is from Marion, NC. We met at UNCC and lived in Charlotte for 8 years, during which time we were married on a cliff on the grounds of the very first house ever built in Blowing Rock, NC. We followed my work from NC to PA in 1990 (and later to NJ), and now we've lived outside NC for nearly twice as long as we lived there. Our families are still there, so we travel back a time or two each year. Both our hometowns are still very much the same as they always were, but Charlotte is almost unrecognizable.

My wife spent her HS years in Asheville... Her grandparents lived there and her other set of grandparents lived in Hendersonville.... She went to a boarding school in Asheville... It was horrifying, seeing the destruction there last year...

We lived in PA at the time, but made the trek to see her grandmother for years, once a month.. driving straight through after work on Friday to take her out for breakfast Saturday morning...Driving back Sunday... We did that for years... What a lovely section of the country...

Lots of Carolina veterans it looks like. :) I am about four miles north of Greer--just drive about 20 minutes from my house and you're crossing into North Carolina. It's a pretty piece of country, but like a lot of others we are still engaged in Helene cleanup. I live on a section of the farm property that belonged to my grandpa, and the destruction it rained down on us was something else, with trees and washout and the like. It's a process, getting it all done.

I finished HS in CLT in the late 70’s. Off to Chapel Hill for undergrad then was away from the Carolinas for quite a while with grad school and work.

Move to the Charleston SC area about 20 years ago and still here. Vacation regularly in the NC/SC mountains. Love it.

We are all different on that. I like the mountains, but I love to vacation in Charleston. 😆 But the Hwy 11 area and western NC mountains are a nice destination--I can get to Chimney Rock in about 45 minutes to an hour on a good day. Just hoping their cleanup continues to go well, it was a real mess.
