My chin goatee beard is coming in nicely. I have tried switching to the 10' hose and all three of the new masks and can't seem to get a proper seal. It no longer auto stops so that is no longer a problem. I just haven't felt like going back to the old set up yet or even trying the new one. Eventually I will decide how to work it or contact the VA Sleep Clinic. Tomorrow is a long awaited as in several years awaited dentist appointment. Some times I have severe dental pain. Sometimes I forget about it and it sort of goes away. I am getting travel to and from the appointment. So that is nice. Not sure what will happen tomorrow. When I know so will you all.

I hope all goes well, Michael.
Me too, Eric. Not sure what a best / worse case scenario looks like. I doubt anything too major will be attempted tomorrow, but, wisdom teeth out and root canals are probably the worst and best in that I will finally have them done. I will have to have more appointments if that is the case. I have been to the dentist once since 1999 around 2008. The only thing that happened then was a cleaning. I hope I have dad's teeth in that he has not needed anything done in his adult life as far as I know. Mom had dentures from 21 I think. My dental habits are not the best. Yet my teeth don't appear to be rotten like mom's were. That said my on again off again tooth pain on the left upper side gives me fits that oragel almost helps with. It is not a working fix for years of dental pain.

So the damage: 1 cavity in a wisdom tooth that we are just going to extract.
deep cleaning to get all the junk build up that my lack of dental hygiene over the last 20 years has allowed to develop. Technically the dentist in 2008 started to get at it, but, I chewed up her fingers causing her to whip my head around this way and that. Left quite a bit undone. If left alone I could start loosing teeth. Not as bad as I thought it would be or the nurse who I told about my I guess 16 year history is more like it as my only dental visit in the service was in 98. Then again that dental visit in 98 was my first one since I was a teenager if not a child. I have never kept up with dental hygiene so this is relatively small stuff. Not sure what will happen next. They may split the cleaning into bite size chunks. See what I did there? I am not going to like this at all.

My dentist recently adopted the use of a hard rubber wedge that they place between your upper and lower back molars to prevent biting. He said he used to use it only for the kiddos but now uses them with everyone. I found it relieved the jaw fatigue of keeping your mouth open!

The most traumatic experience today were the digital X-rays with that big ol’ piece of plastic that I had to bite down on while trying not to gag. Not every shot was that bad but the ones that were really were.

I shaved a fortune
It was odd to me... going to a dentist in Bali, Indonesia.... Their equipment is more advanced than any dentist I've visited in the States.... The X-rays were simple... rest your jaw in a curved bracket... and stay still.... the machine rotates a couple times in a semi-circle... Done... no more biting on plastic or having things stuck along your jawline in your mouth... I always gagged too...

We had to make three trips there... so three vacations in Bali... 4 weeks, 6 weeks, then a final 5 weeks.... Lovely part of the world.. and with the plane tickets.. weeks in three locations... three unique vacations... we still ended up paying about half of the cost of getting upper and lower implants in the States.....It's almost criminal what dental care costs here in the States....

Good luck with the teeth!

So the first set of x-rays were like you describe. It was the detailed 19 that I had to bite down on the plastic. It seemed plenty high tech and nothing at all like the painful biting down on the thingie I remembered from childhood. Of the 19 it was only like 4 of them that were really uncomfortable.

Pre shave, cream, after shave, and, balm: Proraso Red
Liberal use of a misting spray bottle
Brush: RV Shaving 25 MM STF in Strawberry Amber
Bowl: Captain's choice copper
Razor: Wolfman WR2 1.25 SB / @Rosseforp GTB 19.2 gram GTB handle
Blade: Personnna Comfort Coated (14)

9.8 DFS on the neck and BBS- on the cheeks and upper lip.

So my Flairisol mister got gummed up and I figured rather than fool with it I would order a new one. When I logged in I saw many misters that were a little cheaper and shaped the same and I figured they would function the same. Almost not quite. I will be getting a new brand name one on the first. This was a good shave. Best Proraso cream lather I have had this year. Rather than working it on my face after the bowl I just worked the bejeebus out of it in the bowl and got super lather. I will be following this set of steps going forward with all creams and maybe some soaps.

Looking good Michael!
I have a mist bottle from recommendations here and barely use it!
Splashing my face before each pass with the brush will work the same!
