Perfect size!
If you are a boar fan, the 31mm Zenith may still be available at Stirling. I'm a big fan of those. For Badger, I really love the Simpsons Polo 14, (which they sometimes sell significantly discounted on their site).
Thanks Kim, much appreciated. We will collect feedback on Oceanic - perhaps it stays the same or perhaps, based on feedback, it is tweaked. If it continues to sell we will continue to stock it.Congratulations, Scott. You sure have stepped up your shaving bowl game, including the ceramics. I’m a huge fan, as you know.
Scott, the bowl is fabulous. Thanks Kim, much appreciated. We will collect feedback on Oceanic - perhaps it stays the same or perhaps, based on feedback, it is tweaked. If it continues to sell we will continue to stock it.
We hope to have our ceramics in four colors in a few months so that will give more choices.
I have just been floating mine in the sink. It’s like boat after all.Scott, the bowl is fabulous.
If there would be a way to increase the heat retention a bit longer (thicker copper?), that would be great. I find I'm using a 7.5" straight walled bowl as a makeshift scuttle. Would love to not need that....

This is a great solution and one that I have used in the past with our Heavyweight bowl.I have just been floating mine in the sink. It’s like boat after all.
I’m loving my Oceanic. My CaYuen bowl and Periera scuttle are sitting in the cabinet.I received my Oceanic Tuesday and have used it twice. I like the size and weight of it. Being heavier it is not as "clanky" sounding as my previous standard bowl when setting it down and now more of a soft thud. It works great floating it in a sink of hot water to keep the lather warm! In comparison to my large Cayuen bowl which is tapered they are the same diameter but the Oceanic is deeper and has a much bigger volume since it has straight sides and a flat bottom. I have a Georgetown Pottery scuttle but it's just too much hassle to bother with so I rarely use it but the Oceanic is simple for warm lather and floats great. The size is good for big brushes and making lots of lather which I use on a 3 or 4 pass shave most days. I'll probably use the Oceanic on days I want warm lather and the cayuen when I don't. My only con on the Oceanic would be it is still somewhat loud setting it down, so I set it on a towel. I think it's a keeper and I like it better than the smaller size.
