Nickel Pated Bulldog

Here's my 1918 Bulldog.
I got it several years ago in a lot of razors.
It was in really bad shape the plating on most of the cap was gone and it had several large scratches.
Well I sanded and polished the cap and just got it back from the plating shop.
It still has some pitting and the shadow of the cap and stud, these caps are rather thin and I didn't want to remove too much metal.

Bob - OUTSTANDING!! :thumbup1:

I am still excited about this razor that I got from you.

I believe you are right about the new plating providing a slick surface.

Hey, that's my secret weapon!

Beautiful razor as always Bob. What's particularly impressive to me is how well the teeth turned out. :thumbup1:

I wonder if lead free soldier could be used to fill the pitting and the seam where the stud goes through the cap before plating.

It's a nice shaving razor, ore aggressive then the NEWs, head's lighter.

Is there any difference between the heads of a single ring, 1920 bulldog and pocket edition razors? Aren't these essentially all similar old type razor heads with different handles? Do they shave differently? I have an early 1906 single ring and a 1904 double ring but have never shaved with them.

Very nice Bob, I might just have you re-plate the bulldog I scored last week. It came along with this sort of travel injector razor. Any luck on getting a price quote on plating in silver or rhodium?
