Adams/merkur

[/url][/IMG]Wondering if anyone else out there has this razor or knows anything about its history. It's stamped ADAMS GERMANY, and has the Merkur head insignia on the end of the handle.

Collector's Encyclopedia doesn't have much info on them. It only states for manufacturer, "Emil Hermes, Merkur, Merscheid, Solingen".

It is a re-branded vintage Merkur. Awesome shaver too.

Indeed an awesome piece, nice and heavy. Not as aggresive as one would think for an open-comb, I wish it gave me a little more blade.

Thanks for looking, I've been there before. Did you notice the three safety razor patents for Adams? It's been awhile since I've been there, I think they were from the 20's and I wasn't able to determine if any of them matched.

I have one of these that I'm using at the moment. It's very gentle. I don't have a lot of razors, but this is the first one that allows me to get a close shave on the point of my chin without nicks or missing bits.

Does anyone know the when these were made? I just picked one up and have yet to shave with it.
