I know its probably hard to tell by these pics. Who around here hones and does any repairs and what would you charge. Thanks.

Just looking at that photo, it seems quite acceptable to me. Of course, the real deal will be when it's in-hand to inspect the edge for nicks and the blade for cracks. Barring those problems, it should polish up nicely, take a keen edge, and provide you with years more of service.

That's the first concave straight I've seen. Could you post a close up of the blade after it's been polished? That would be great.

I just got it today after a long wait. I never realized how small straights are and how light they are. the edge looks pretty good. Can't find any cracks or anything major. there Might be some pitting on the blade but if it is it is real light.
What is it? 4/8s?

9/16 I think. I measured for the top of the spine to the edge.
Just looks real skinny. Probably started life as a 5/8th I would think
Doesn't look like that to me - look at the hone wear at various parts, no way there's 1/16 missing. Just a smaller blade - I have plenty of 9/16 razors that I like just as much as any other.
Looks like there may be some surface pitting, but you'll find out for sure when you clean it. It's hard to tell from the pictures.
Really, I was just assuming, I didnt know 9/16 was that common. Still fairly new to the cut throat game
