Cologne and the use of talcs

I was at NM last week and was told that the use of talc will lengthen the staying power of your colonge. Any one know if this is true?

I think they are referring to using the same talc flavor as cologne. I think it will accentuate the scent but not necessarily prolong the cologne itself.

Whenever I combine Clubman aftershave and Clubman talc on my chest the scent lasts a looong time.
