I've always liked Erskine handles, particularly the older ones that often feature elegant, sculpted shapes. They aren't necessarily that common in my experience, so when I came across this one I was pretty stoked. Not only is it a cool shape with the hexagonal Bakelite base, this particular one is in really nice condition. As with a lot of older brushes, the original knot was quite small, probably barely 16mm, so I opened this up considerably to accommodate a 20mm knot. I chose a VS silvertip, which is a favorite of mine, set at 46mm loft.
Of course I need another brush like Bill Gates needs beer money, but this one just called to me.
