iPhone Photo Scanner App

Looking at apps for my iPhone 5C that would allow me to take pictures of photographs I have around. Tried this just using the camera and holding the photo in my lap, and it worked fairly well. Got me wondering if there were apps, and turns out there are. One that seems highly recommended is called Photomyne, and another is Pic Scanner. First, was wondering if anyone here had any experience with these or any other same-purposed apps? Next, would like some insight into photo storage. I have iCloud and OneDrive, though my filing skills are sorely lacking. Not sure of the easy of transferring these back and forth. Thanks!
