Do you have a credo to live by?

Everyone needs a credo to live by. This one is mine.

The credo I endeavor to live by is..."A gentleman means what he says and says what he means". :thumbsup:

Boy Scout Motto

On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law (see below);
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

12 Points of the Scout Law

A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent

Never put it into words before. But I guess this would be mine:

Humility is honorable and honor is loyalty. Loyalty is love and love is humility.

or

Horace Mann- Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity.

"A.P.I. - Assume Positive Intent."

Most people, the overwhelming majority, are just wanting to go about their lives and have a few laughs and some fun along the way. They aren't out to ruin your day, and most often a bad interaction wasn't intended. It just resulted that way from something they hadn't considered.

"No Ragrets"

Did you mean No Regrets? Or maybe No Rugrats?

So many good ones. With my roles as a father, manager, and church volunteer, I've been reflecting on this one a lot lately.

1 Timothy 4:12 - ...Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

"Audi, Vide, Tace, si vis vivere in pace"

Hear, see, be silent, if you would live in peace.

I see mine expressed in more words often, but I always sum it up to this:

"Do your job, and don't be a [nickname for Richard]."
