Fine Accoutrements Shaving Brush

Is this a replica of the C-40 Ever-Ready?

As stated in the product description.

An updated take on the classic design of the EverReady C40 Shaving Brush, the Fine 20mm Shaving Brush maintains the great look, but replaces the synthetic bristles of the original with an extra densely packed badger hair knot.

Do you own this brush? Or just thinking about getting it?

Personally, I'd like to see a clone of the original with a modern synthetic knot.

And I'm glad to see that the FINE website is back in business. They were closed for several weeks while they ironed out problems with their shipping contractor, but I guess they've got that worked out. Or maybe they just got a new contractor.

Also of interest is their new Fine Shaving Bowl.

I'm not big on scuttles, but I like this one. It is well thought out and very functional. The "Static-Hole" to hang it on the wall is a brilliant touch. The color choices are nice, and the price is reasonable.

It looks to be made of ceramic. I'd like to see this same design available in Bakelite, Melamine or another plastic. It would be cheaper, lighter, and more durable.

Thanks for the product quote from the website...I guess it pays to read those things.

I am not really thinking of getting one for myself, but I purchased one for a 'starter' package I am putting together for a friend. It should arrive sometime this week.

It was an impulse buy.

I really love those old Ever Ready brushes.

+1 ... if they're going to clone the design, clone it all the way.
One of the modern generations of synthetic knots would be great in that handle.

I'm with you on this. Over at the Brotherhood of the Blue Tip, I was recently gifted a TGN knot installed in a restored EverReady handle. It's a great combination. I'd love to have a red-handled Fine synth to go with this...
