After lurking some of the inky threads in The Nib, I'm not so sure they've seen this over there. 
I'm an artist, so I guess this doesn't apply to me. Of course my colours have names like "Alizarin Crimson" and "Burnt Sienna" and "Phthalocyanine Blue." Cheers.
So true. I bought a grey/blue suit once and low and behold, when I showed it to the SO, I was told it was in fact, Teal.

What happened to puce, taupe and mauve? How can you have an intelligent discussion about color without puce, taupe and mauve? Good grief there isn't even periwinkle.
