I have been wet shaving for about 2-months now and have been using shaving soap ( DR Harris ) and have experienced several good shaves BUT this morning I tried some Cyril R Salter cream (citrus) and I got such a wonderful creamy slick lather that gave me my best shave yet ..
Just wondered if you all have a preference of soaps or creams? maybe its just that I'm pretty new and found it easier to create a better lather with the cream over the soap
I find my soaps are more moisturing because they have tallow in them. The creams sure lather easier and faster, but I don't Know of any creams with tallow.
I alternate my shaves between soaps and creams. I like soaps a little more, but I find that if I use them all the time, then after about two weeks my face starts to feel very dry.
