TFS Italian Fern Anniversary soap w/ Pav Synth
Mongoose on Muhle Sophist Horn handle w/ Feather Pro
Floid Amber w/ Cold River balm
Nice change of pace w/ the Sophist handle - much lighter than the Mongoose standard gear. But the length is good for me. I really enjoy the fresh fern scent on the TFS - nice stuff.

Lather - Cella Extra Extra Purissima & suribachi
Brush - Baton 105 refurbished with TGN 2-band, 24/44
Razor - Wade & Butcher 13/16 India Steel & Garland 5/8 Improved Eagle
2 pass
Warm water rinse & cold water splash
Alum block & Witch-hazel AS
First shave in 8 days this morning, Wade & Butcher wedge one side and Garland hollow ground the other. The edges on both razors are very keen and both shaves were perfectly smooth. Coin toss really - the hollow needed a little more push, but the results from both were very comfy.

@mkiraly what are your impressions from the shaving with Merkur 45 Bakelite?I wanted to buy it,but unfortunately out of stock in my country.Maybe someday return to sales.
My Merkur "Red & Black" requires some adjustments in technique:
The extreme curve of the head and large blade exposure call for a steeper shaving angle.
I need to apply some (not too much) pressure during a pass; you can't use the weight of the razor to cut, as it has no weight!
I use it when I need to get out the door in a hurry.
It's a fun little razor, cheap as well, I think I paid $12.00 at a (women's) United Beauty Supply store here.
Thanks Stu, I dig your pics: always with the bright sunlight backlight, but it never washes out the color and texture of the objects we can see, and never plunges them into darkness, very cool...
