"Shapht" razor- Any info?

Hi All,
I have acquired an unusual razor and am finding it hard to find any info on it. The bakelite base unscrews so the razor head can be housed perfectly inside the handle. Around the base reads "SHAPHT" RAZOR MADE IN ENGLAND (PROTECTED).
Googling "Shapht Razor" has not produced any desirable results hahaha.
Does anyone have any info on this?

Wow!! That's crazy looking. Wonder why the handle is so big and what it was designed to contain. Looks like it would be slick and hard to hold.

At first glance the handle reminds me of a co2 cartridge for a bb gun. Lol

Literally laughing out loud. Well played.

At first I would have said a shave stick might go into that handle but looking at the shot of it opened up those channels make me think maybe the head and/or a tuck of blades might fit in there.

Yeah the head and blades do fit perfectly. Quite a neat design
