Ruby Throat Hummingbird

We have had one male Ruby Throat at the feeder for several weeks. My goal is to get a good picture of one every year.
This is close to the mark, I want a picture with goblet in full color. $IMG_0127.jpg

Set you a chair near the feeder and sit there as often as possible. They will get use to you pretty quick and even fly around you. Should get you some good close ups!

True enough. At my friend's house in the summer, hummers on the porch are so thick they're almost like flies.

You may want to experiment with a remote set up with your camera focused on a perch. The gorget's color on a ruby-throat is an iridescence caused by light hitting the feathers; you'll have to play with the angle of the sun almost as much as having the bird cooperate. They're amazing birds.
