Did you send a few rounds downrange recently?
Let's hear about it.

That's pretty cool!
Tomorrow we are headed to Houston to visit my brother in law and his family. We are planning a gun range trip which will be my 2nd time shooting ever. The first time was a real learning experience considering we had a shotgun and few pistols along with stationary targets and clays. I don't own any guns but am interested in buying one eventually. Any suggestions on what to try? I'm sure he has a good idea of what I should try as he has a few and does some competition shooting.
I'm the BIL. I have a new Remington VersaMax I want him to try, as well as my old childhood hunting shotgun, Mossberg 500c (20ga. pump). I'd like to shoot skeet, but it might be a little demoralizing. I don't know, though, shooting at the sky can be a lot of fun.
I'm also thinking about bringing my Ruger 10/22 for some plinking fun, and my Ruger Police Service Six (1976 model). Every man needs to shoot .357 mag at least once in his life.
Oh, and my AR. That. A man needs to shoot a black gun.
Just took my IPSC 101 class and attended my first match. Kinda nerve wracking for some reason, and for the life of me I can't remember if I lined up the sights at all during the closer paper target shots. It was fun tho'!
Although I only ran through a little over a 100 rounds, the gun seems to have a lot more carbon on the inside. I wonder if the rapid firing somehow makes it dirtier?
